Weekly Photo Challenge: Infinite

I took this picture on the beginning of my convoy south leaving Iraq in January 2004.  It’s an oldie, but it screams infinite to me.  And boy did this drive feel like it would never end… especially after drinking a ridiculous amount of sweet tea, having to go to the bathroom for hours (I think at least four), being left by the rest of the convoy and watching as the Military Police scared the locals away using smoke grenades.  But those… are stories for another day.  I hope you like my entry this week.

    • Aww thanks Jane, it’s actually funny how mundane it feels and then I look back at pictures and realize, yeah I did that.

  2. Great photo Beth! Thank you for your service. Though I served in the Air Force back in the late 80’s, so I’m technically a vet, I truly respect, admire, and am grateful to, those of you who’ve actually served and are still serving, in harms way.

  3. Excellent photo, Beth. I’m sure that the trip as well as the road seemed infinite. Glad you’re here to tell about it and I, as the other, thank you for and very much appreciate your service.
