Weekly Photo Challenge: The Hue of You

This week’s challenge was to keep it simple: share a photograph with a prominent color (or assortment of colors) that reveals more about you. It could be a symbolic, meaningful shade; a color that expresses how you currently feel; or a combination of colors that excites you and tells a visual story.

I picked this picture of beautiful pink tulips taken in Washington, DC because the vibrant pink can represent my girliness and the flowers are rising out of the dirt because I’m a bit tough… and I like the idea that some of the flowers are in full bloom and some have not begun to open yet.  There will always be new life that rises, but sometimes you have to get through the tough spots first.  A bit cheesy, but there you go and I hope you like my entry for the week.

  1. Pink tulips also symbolise affection and caring, so quite appropriate for you I think 🙂

  2. I really don’t think it’s cheesy. Firstly, I like the photography. It is hard to be simple. And secondly, I like the idea of we women coming up from the dirt. Strong. I knew a woman who was determined to raise her daughter this way: to make her tough, she exposed her to hard things and of course easy things, but the premise being, she would survive a draught and lots of rain and still be a beautiful rose. As a matter of fact, now, it does sound cheesy JK. 🙂
