Weekly Photo Challenge: Layers

This week’s challenge is a photo of Layers.

Layers can reveal, conceal, and make something more complex. They can vary in size, texture, color, or functionality. Each layer can have its own story, meaning, or purpose. They can overlap, blend, or be distinctly separate. A layer doesn’t have to be a part of a single object but can even be a slice of a multifaceted image or scene.

Layers of love locks lovingly locked onto the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence.  Each unique looking lock placed by lovers to signify their hope for an unbreakable love.  Each lock hinting at a unique love story and the mystery as to how each will end.

  2. Love your interpretation of the photo challenge Beth, and I love this tradition which you can see in several places in Italy. Isn’t it the most romantic gesture!

    • Thank you so much Jane and it certainly is quite romantic. Hope you’ll let me know if/when you’re back up and blogging.

      • Hi Beth,

thank you, I will 🙂 I do intend to start blogging again at some point, I would miss all you fellow bloggers if I gave it up completely! Life just threw me a major curve ball though, the last thing I ever expected to happen just did, and I’m still trying to work out what I should do. I’m not trying to be cryptic, its just not something I feel I can write about on here. Happy to tell you about it privately sometime though!
